
Local Shire’s Planning Transparency
Congratulations for a great contribution from the Cranbrook population in forming their ten-year Strategic Community Plan, followed by the Shire Council’s Corporate Business Plan. The Council formed a leading-practice ‘executable’ plan, ensuring the team knows exactly what needs to be delivered, when and by whom. Despite experiencing a change in CEO towards the end of this planning process, it formed its plans on time. It was a robust process for the small team, with further and strong oversight by the Council’s elected members. The big change the community and Council workforce members are wishing to make during this strategic phase, is increased transparency, then ’real’ knowledge, through the use of data. The teams called their plans New Balance to celebrate this recalibration in factual knowledge. Thank you for having the G11 Team as your planning facilitators.
